Week 16 only sucked slightly less than week 15. I got 8 picks. I forgot to mention last week that there was a good bet. You’re all welcome. It would appear that the 10 point spread was somewhat optimistic for Houston.

I nailed one game, Tennessee and Jacksonville, meh.

On the plus side I only had one true failure. I don’t know what Chicago did to piss off Philly but that beat down was pretty mean. Dallas should be terrified by this. Philly did that outdoors, in the wind and cold. If I was Dallas I’d get some big fans and snow blowers and set the AC in the stadium to 20 degrees. Of course if I was Dallas, Romo would be playing and Bryant would be looking for a new contract. Continue reading →

Week 16 Results

Well it wasn’t a great week, but at least I got 9 of the 16 games. I don’t see how Minnesota clobbered Kansas City so badly, especially since they were at home! Did KC forget to show up for the game? And what happened to Denver? Is Houston really that good and they simply haven’t played up to their potential until week 16? I don’t know about that.

The big surprise to me occurred up in Seattle. Where did they go last week? Cause they didn’t stay home. Maybe they thought they were playing in an away game and they went to Arizona instead. Of course I picked my Skins against our dreaded rivals the Cowboys and I thought they might actually pull it off But alas, that didn’t happen.

Evil’s Analysis and Picks

I guess my run of good luck is over. Only 7 picks right last week. And I failed to nail even one game of those.

So, let’s talk about the true failures category. Neither Arizona or Tennessee brought a D squad. Well maybe Arizona brought one guy. I nailed Seattle’s score in that game. Unfortunately for me, the Giants weren’t there to see it. And I’ve said it before, never bet on a B team, you can never tell when they will show up. Buffalo showed up. I think they had 44 men on the field.

This week New England is back out of the Superbowl. Seattle with a 15-1 record will win over Denver.

Week 15 Results

First off I’d like to say everyone in my family wishes everyone in your family a wonderful Yuletide and Merry Christmas!

It’s Sunday and there’s only two weeks left of the NFL’s regular season. The next two weeks will be filled with commentary, confusing and convoluted scenarios for what a team has to do in order to make the playoffs.   That team will have to win, that team will have to lose and your team will need other teams to do both of those to make a wild card birth. I’m terribly glad I’m not the one who has to know all that. I’m fairly sure I would fail at it miserably.

But I didn’t fail at last weeks results! Woohoo. I had 11 of the 16 games correct. I’m still trying to figure out how Denver lost, IN Denver to the Chargers no less. Did the Broncos forget where the stadium was? In my head Chicago and Cleveland was a toss up game, so I’m not surprised I lost that pick. But when the Saints lost to the Rams I thought my weekend was going to be long and depressing. Then New England lost in Miami!? What?! Continue reading →
