Season Week 5 Results

Well I started out the day winning all the morning games. Then halftime happened. And it was down hill from there. Some one please explain to me how New England lost to Cincinnati? Did the Patriots forget to get on the plane?

Seattle at Indianapolis was my fun game to watch. I rather enjoyed that one. I thought I was heading for a great pick week, but alas I finished my pics with a 50% win ratio. At least I broke even! Continue reading →

Evil’s Week 5 Bets and Picks

I’ve noticed a pattern. Week 4 is always bad for my picks. My analysis doesn’t directly take injuries into account and I think they max out about week 4. One of these days when I have some of that magical and mystical stuff we call free time, I’m going to write some software to do a deeper analysis. Lack of free time is why I don’t watch college football. I already spend maximum time on the 32 teams of the NFL. If I started watching all six hunnit and fiddy teams in college I would need to be retired.

Another bet I would have put real money on went down the tubes last week. My boy’s team, Philly, were completely unable to stop Denver as they ran, passed, rolled unabated to the end zone. So much for the under bet there. Denver almost took it over all by themselves. Continue reading →

Season Week 4 Results

Not a bad week for me. 9 out of 15 games, that’s 60% for the week. Not bad. I must admit I made some long reaching picks. I gave the edge to St. Louis because they were at home and they failed miserably. Cleveland really stepped it up on Sunday to win the honor of Ohio over Cincinnati. I’m still surprised about that one.

Houston losing to Seattle at home was another one that surprised me. At home, the Texans should have ruled that game. That or Seattle is a lot better than they’re being given credit for. Which really might be the case.

And I must admit I don’t mind losing the pick in Oakland. I was have a really bad feeling about my Skins this year, but they finally decided it was time to play some football! Yes!!

Evil’s Week 4 Picks and Bets

Let’s talk about my picks last week. I got 7. Shut up.

Well, I did great on gambling, except of course, for the one bet I said was worth taking. If Jacksonville did pull their heads out of their asses, then it would appear that Seattle drop-kicked them right back up there. Despite that, I’m up 240% overall.

In the true failure category the computer is predicting Chicago to go all the way to get stomped by the Pats in the Superbowl, but it predicts Chicago losing to Pittsburgh. Da Bears had other plans and redecorated the Steelers stadium with their players.

My perfect games were all blowouts that I didn’t predict, except for the Jets game which I nailed. Continue reading →

2013-14 Season Week 3 Results

Well it wasn’t a bad week. 56% over all for the week and 52% for the season. Better than 50% means I’m still winning. And I did do better than some of the ‘professional’ pundits who are supposed to know more than I do.

There were some games that really made ya scratch your head though. Come on, there was some twilight zone things going on.

2013-14 Season Week 2 Results

Well I had a much better week in week 2! I went from a 32% win ratio in week 1 to 69%. Yeah!!

So I lost 5 of the weeks 16 games. Carolina didn’t win my wild card pick, but come on, that was a long shot to begin with. So I’m not feeling too bad about that.

I am thrilled with Seattle’s performance over San Francisco though. Which brings up the weather. Wow!

The dangerous lightning in Tampa Bay was matched by the dangerous lightning in Seattle. Not to mention the rain delay and rain interruption in Chicago for the Nascar race. It sure made Sunday a very long day!  Continue reading →

Evil’s Week 2 Picks

I picked 12 of the games last week, 75% is not bad. So I guess I shouldn’t complain. Oh but I am going to complain. Let’s start with Baltimore. Yeah I picked Denver to beat them. But I picked them to cover the 7.5 point spread, unfortunately it appears that their D never made it back from the Superbowl.

Up until the Miami game, I was at 100%. Of course it’s Miami and Cleveland, hard to tell which loser will lose the most. I guess it was Cleveland’s turn.

Despite the good numbers on raw picks, I managed to start the year down 10% on gambling, not that I would have put real money on any of the bets last week. Continue reading →

2013-14 Season Week 1 Results

Well I said my first week picks were never very good and Week 1 proved that to be true. So let me say I don’t mind losing the pick for the Titans since they’re my 2nd favorite team. I was born in Tennessee so it’s awesome when they win. But I was raised outside of DC and I was disappointed my Skins lost. Course they were playing against our little Prince’s favorite team so it wasn’t a total loss. Yeah Eagles.
