2011 NFL Week 10 – Picks

There are several evenly matched games this week so there’s several toss ups to choose from. Starting with Thursday’s Oakland and San Diego. I’m taking the Chargers only because it’s a home game. The Prince is picking Indianapolis to win their first game of the season, but keep in mind his method of picking is that a Colt is a horse and he likes them better than a big kitty. We both think Cincinnati will hold their own at home and we’re split on Dallas and Buffalo. I think being at home might give the Cowboys an edge, but I’d be ok losing that pick. And while I think New Orleans is better than Atlanta, there’s something going on with them lately that seems to be destructive. Because of that, the Prince and I agree that the Falcons will take that game. Then there’s Tennessee and Carolina. The Titans are one of my fav teams, which is the only reason I’m taking them this week. While the Panthers are SirEvil’s team so the kid is supporting Daddy this week in that pick. So here they are..our picks for week 10.

Right about football entering the Twilight Zone last week. And now we appear to be firmly lost in the zone…

2011 NFL Week 9 – Results

Well Week 9 wasn’t as good for Mom as it was for the Prince. His method of picking served him well this week and he finished with a 11 – 3 record. I on the other hand had a lousy week and finished 7 – 7; 50% over all. Yuck! And that’s all I have to say about that.

NFL Week 9

It would appear that not only did St. Louis expect the Spanish Inquisition, they brought guns. I think if I was a Cardinal, I’d run, cause I’m betting they’re not going to make the distinction between guy in a funny hat and the bird…

Football seems to have gone off into the Twighlight Zone. I’m starting to think Kansas is going to the Superbowl. I wonder if the Land of Oz has a stadium big enough.

2011 NFL Week 9 – Picks

After the great picks last weekend, I’ve got a 67% average for the year. Not bad. Not fantastic, but I am winning the family pick contest. There’s a couple of good games this week that I think might be toss ups. I’m picking Tennessee over Cincinnati only because the Titans are one of my favorites and they’re playing at home. But I think this is one of the first toss ups. New England and the Giants is the other which way to go game. I’m picking the Giants because I think they’re going into the game with something to prove. A little more heart can go a long way to winning. Baltimore and Pittsburgh I think will be the game of the week. My gut says Baltimore will pull it out, but Pittsburgh is awfully good at home. So statistics win out in that pick and I’m going with the Steelers.

So here’s our picks for Week 9:

2011 NFL Week 8 – Results

Well week 8 was a much better week. San Diego and Kansas City was one of the toss up games for the week. So I’m not surprised I lost that game. But what in the world happened to New Orleans? And when is Cam Newton going to pull the Panthers together. No way should they have lost that game to the Vikings. All in all, it was a pretty good week.

2011 NFL Week 8 – Picks

Hopefully we’ll have a better week here. There are a couple of games that promise to be close or toss ups. The Prince is somewhat sticking to his animal vs; but he did make a few alternate choices. This weeks upset I think will be in Pittsburgh. And I think New Orleans v St. Louis might be a better game this week only because of the excitement and energy permeating the city from the Cardinals World Series win. But I still think New Orleans will take the day. We’ll see.

NFL Week 8

Last week sucked, although it probably sucked more for the teams who let me down. For instance, in Smokedland, Kansas City really came though. They scored an extra TD over my prediction. Apparently Smokedland’s offense missed the plane. Or, in this case, maybe they fell out of the plane.

Indianapolis had a major relapse, despite the seemingly successful operation earlier in the season to remove the team’s heads from their asses. In an embarrassing and extremely painful reverse operation, reminiscent of the Spanish Inquisition, The Saints put Indianapolis’ heads right back, helmet and all. Payton didn’t sit in the booth cause his leg hurt, he just didn’t want to get any blood on his suit. They say no one ever expects the Spanish Inquisition, but I bet St. Louis does…
