What Would An Intelligent Woman Say? - Part II

This week (Thursday September 25, 2008), CBS News anchor Katie Couric met with Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin at the United Nations for Part II of her interview. Much of the discussion focused on foreign policy, which some say could be Palin’s weakness.

Once again, I could answer these questions better than Palin.  What follows is Part II of an exclusive interview with Gov. Palin and my responses to Katie’s questions just to prove the point that I could answer these more intelligently than a person who stands second in line to the Oval Office.

Die Hard D.C.

A play by me. Well, plagiarized by me…

The scene: Hans Gruber, played by Secretary Paulson, has hatched a scheme to steal $700 billion dollars from the Federal Reserve. He’s chatting with his evil genius kid Theo, played by Ben Bernanke, who has just informed Gruber that he’s in place, he can move the money, but he can’t get it out of the bank, the last seal is impenetrable.

What Would An Intelligent Woman Say?

(CBS) When CBS News anchor Katie Couric sat down for an exclusive interview with vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin Wednesday (September 24, 2008), she focused on the economy, the campaign and foreign affairs. The second part of the interview (the foreign affairs) will air September 25, 2008.

Her answers, in my view were lacking in thought and substance for someone who might lead the United States as President. I could answer these questions better than she did. Of course I’m considering myself to be an Intelligent Woman. Which got me thinking, what would I say if I was running for the position and interviewed by Couric?

Here’s the first part of the interview and the answers to Katie’s questions.

Now some of this isn’t easy for me to answer, as I don’t support McCain. But even so, there were better ways for Palin to answer these questions. Some of the questions have been deleted because they were based on the bad answers given by Palin and since I wouldn’t have answered those questions in the same way, the follow up doesn’t make sense.

Thoughts on Enron… er… AIG

I saw the President’s speech last night. Sounded a lot like he said, “The sky is falling!” This morning, I saw Senator McCain say he came back to Washington because this is a situation for “all hands on deck.” Soon as I heard that, I switched from CNN to C-Span to see what “all hands on deck” looks like. What I saw was a Representative in a nearly empty chamber, discussing the pardon of some guy who was wrongfully convicted due to race, followed by later a discussion of forests in the Pacific west. Maybe it’s just me, but it didn’t look like there were any emergencies happening. Unfortunately, I don’t get the other C-Span channels thanks to local county politics giving Comcast a monopoly here.
